This will build trust, foster ethical behavior, and reduce corruption, creating oversight, preventing the abuse of power that is common in Buncombe County’s one-party rule system. I will be your eyes, the canary in the coal mine, the cat in the room that makes the mice behave.

As your county commissioner, I will report to you monthly. I will watch and expose bad policies. I will promote your conservative moral values.
Accountability:
Government officials are responsible for their decisions and actions and must be answerable to the people. A healthy democracy ensures that power is not abused and that officials act in public interest rather than for personal gain. As your county commissioner I will hold my fellow commissioners to this standard and push them to justify their actions, accept responsibility for outcomes, and face consequences for poor performance or misconduct

As your county commissioner, I will stand for a tax system that focuses on Economic Growth, Individual Liberty, and Efficiency. I believe in lower taxes and greater freedom. I want the people of Buncombe County to work less for its county government and more for themselves.
Fiscally Reasonable:
As your county commissioner I will be focused on financial sustainability advocating for reducing deficits, controlling debt, and ensuring government spending does not exceed revenue. I will focus on long-term stability advocating for balanced budgets, while
looking for ways to reduce wasteful spending, while making all findings transparent and accountable.
Public Safety:
It is time that Buncombe County addresses the pan handling, drug use and high crime rates. As your county commissioner I will demand a return on your tax dollars. It is time to start enforcing the laws and cleaning up the streets. The county law enforcement agency’s need to be held accountable for the millions of taxpayer dollars they receive every year. I will also advocate for all Fire and EMS departments to be treated equally and are supported so that they can provide essential services that the people of Buncombe County deserve.
Infrastructure:
Overload occurs when physical transportation needs exceed their designed capacity due to high demand, aging, or climate stressors causing traffic gridlock, public safety concerns all leading to increased maintenance needs and cost. As your county commissioner I will advocate for state and federal officials to improve roads in Buncombe County to address the growing demands. This is essential for Buncombe County as it continues to grow.
Agriculture:
Supporting agriculture increases local economies, promotes sustainability. As your county commissioner I will support Local Farmers and programs like 4-H or FFA so that they will have the resources available to mentor future agricultural leaders in Buncombe County I will also advocate for sustainable farming practices, land conservation, and support policies that promote farm sustainability and fair practices.
